SYMPHONY WITH A RUSSIAN FLAIR
The spotlight is on composers Prokofiev and Shostakovich in this distinctly Russian program, featuring pianist Natasha Paremski playing Prokofiev’s romantic Second Piano Concerto. Shostakovich’s Ninth Symphony is also reminiscent of a bygone era in a composition that is short, witty, and classically oriented.
