In classes for every age and interest you can learn a skill or discover a new craft this weekend in and around Aurora. There are nearby craft fairs and plenty of other events and activities to choose from. Just don’t forget to turn your clocks back by midnight Saturday!

Calling all teens to be a part of a Teen Advisory Group (TAG) every first and third Thursday. The group creates displays, plans programs and activities, enjoys snacks and meets new people, all while earning volunteer hours.

MAKE A CARDBOARD CAR!
Elementary school age children will be able to design and make a toy car from cardboard in these hands-on, guided classes. For kindergarten through fifth grades, kids will use the takeaway skills they learn here again and again.

COMPUTER AND INTERNET BASICS
Learn how to use a computer and achieve a basic understanding of how the internet works. No experience is necessary, however space in these classes is limited and registration is required by calling 303-739-1940.

COLORADO COUNTRY CHRISTMAS GIFT SHOW
The 13th annual Colorado Country Christmas Gift Show is the largest holiday gift show in Colorado with 450 booths of unique gifts, handcrafted items, specialty foods and much more! Don’t miss the Cooking for the Holidays culinary demonstrations on the cooking stage, a cafe-type concession in the Plaza, running model trains, Hammond’s Candy Land and visits with Santa. SMOKY HILL CRAFT FAIR
Celebrating its 33rd year, this popular Aurora event showcases 210 vendors selling their creative, hand-crafted items. You can find decorations, unique clothing, jewelry and gifts for the holidays at the fair, with proceeds funding scholarships and supporting Smoky Hill clubs and activities. Admission and parking are free and there will be food available for purchase.

A TRIP TO NASHVILLE
With hundreds of recordings between them, Byron Hill, Roxie Dean and John Ford Coley, all successful country artists in their own right, will present a night of songs and stories. Hill’s 1982 hit written for George Strait, “Fool Hearted Memory”, Dean’s Grammy-nominated “When I Think About Angels” for Jamie O’Neil, and Coley’s platinum-selling “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight” will all be part of the evening’s offerings.
