Greg Proops is perhaps best known for his unpredictable comedy on the hit improve series, Whose Line is it Anyway?, and has a new comedy album called In the Ball Park. His book, The Smartest Man in the World, is based in part on Proops’ popular podcast of the same name in which he offers movie recommendations, baseball facts and misconstrued history. Greg has loaned his voice to blockbuster films like Star Wars the Phantom Menace and The Nightmare Before Christmas and was the voice of Bob the Builder.

DENVER VETERANS DAY PARADE
The Denver Veterans Day Parade will host thousands of spectators along Civic Center Park and nearby streets to show respect and honor to our local veterans. The parade will represent several events in military history, including the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, the Vietnam War and recent overseas conflicts. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m., followed by a festival with food trucks and other vendors, live music and family activities.

ART PROJECTS BY VETERANS
Internal Narratives: Projects by Veterans is a compelling collection of fine art photography created by 10 Denver-area artists who served in the U.S. Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Army Reserve. This unique exhibition is the culmination of the Colorado Photographic Arts Center’s Veterans Workshop Series, a four-month program of advanced photographic workshops led by master-level instructor Frank Varney. Each project is intensely personal, reflecting the artists’ inspirations, life experiences, creativity and points of view. The public is invited to meet the artists at this opening event, created in partnership with The Art of War Project and Task Force ISO and made possible by the Bonfils Stanton Foundation and others.

SPREADING WINGS GALA!

JOHN MULANEY: KID GORGEOUS
John Mulaney is an Emmy award-winning writer and comedian. He most recently starred in the Broadway hit, Oh, Hello on Broadway alongside Nick Kroll. In 2015 Mulaney released his third hour-long stand-up special a Netflix Original titled THE COMEBACK KID which the AV Club called the “best hour of his career.”
That career began in New York’s East Village and Mulaney has since toured around the world. In 2008, he began writing Saturday Night Live episodes and appeared as a “Weekend Update” correspondent. He currently writes for IFC’s Documentary Now and for Netflix’s Big Mouth on which he voices the character of “Andrew.”
