ANIME MANGA CLUB

RENAISSANCE ARTISTS EXHIBIT
If you haven’t been to Italy’s City of Bridges you can still experience the extraordinary creativity of Venice from the mid-1400s to the early 1500s this weekend. More than 40 works from Venetian Renaissance artists who developed a distinct and unforgettable style that shaped Venice into an international hub of art and culture are at the Denver Art Museum Exhibition Glory of Venice: Masterworks of the Renaissance.

FREE SKATE FRIDAY!
The first 200 residents of Southshore to show up with their email flyer (sent by the YMCA last week) — printed and in hand — can skate FREE at Aurora’s favorite ice rink! YOHEN: THEATRE ESPRIT ASIA
Theatre Esprit Asia offers a unique perspective during Black History Month: a story exploring the intricacies of interracial marriage, culture, and Japanese art. Set in California in 1986, Yohen is the story of an African American ex-GI and his Japanese wife after 30 years of marriage. “Yohen” is a Japanese pottery term that refers to an accident in the kiln firing that results in transformation of the pot. The outcomes are as unpredictable as the evolution of a marriage.

BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL

SILENT AUCTION AT THE LAKEHOUSE
Designer furniture and décor will be auctioned off in anticipation of the final makeover phase of The Lakehouse in Southshore! Interested bidders will compete for items in a silent auction with bidding between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Winners will be contacted by phone and must pay for items prior to pick-up. No delivery service is provided and pickup must take place between 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, or 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Sunday.

POLAR PLUNGE
Five minutes from Southshore, there’s a good reason to be freezin’ at the Polar Plunge in the Aurora Reservoir: to raise money for the Special Olympics! Start a team or join one and ask family and friends to pledge money. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and to teams, individuals and athletes who raise the most money! Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, is the ultimate prom night for individuals with special needs ages 14 and older.
