Holiday Cocktails and Mocktails!

November 20, 2018

For a delicious collection of cocktails, mocktails, punches and juices to serve during the holidays, you can go boozy or teetotally non-alcoholic with recipes for fruity, creamy, chocolate-y and spicy drinks to serve your dinner guests. So whether hot, cold or somewhere in between, here are at least 100 of the coolest adult and kid-friendly holiday drink ideas for Thanksgiving, Christmas and more!

Spritz a Little

No recipe is needed for a fabulous Fall Spritz. Here’s all that you – or your guests, if you’re busy prepping in the kitchen – have to do. Mix one part amaro (an herbal Italian liqueur) to four parts hard cider. Just set out the glasses, the liquid beverages, plenty of ice and turn everybody loose to make their own.

The Ginger Spritz takes a little more measuring and blending. Bon Appétit has the recipe right here. Combining a thin slice of peeled ginger with two ounces of Lillet (an aperitif wine-blend of Bordeaux and citrus liqueur) and 3 ounces of cava (a sparkling Spanish wine) plus a splash of ginger beer, makes for a light refreshing drink perfect for brunches or lighter-drink aficionados.

Sip and Celebrate

The Food Network has a Holiday Central hub where you’ll find recipes for lots of holiday goodies including drinks like the Candy Cane Cocktail, with equal parts vanilla rum, white chocolate liqueur and peppermint schnapps. Get your eggnog on with a Christmas martini made with the creamy stuff plus brandy, amaretto and nutmeg, or sip a cup of  Gingerbread Hot Chocolate, or try one of 47 more hot and steamy, cold and festive drinks for the holidays.

12 to 100 Percent

Whether you’re sipping to celebrate Thanksgiving, or just steeling yourself for another big family get-together where red relatives meet the blue, a special holiday cocktail can be the best part of the meal!

Town and Country Magazine offers recipes for boozy cocktails from festive martinis and juice-y drinks with bourbon, rum, vodka and Campari, to mules, hot chocolates and mint toddies. Skip the boring beer this Christmas and enjoy instead a Santa Clausmopolitan, a jolly jingle juice or a Christmamosa from Delish.

Hold the Alcohol!

Town and Country also has an entire collection of mocktails, non-alcoholic drinks for the teetotalers and wee ones, and Martha Stewart offers her 10 best alcohol-free drinks for the holidays including Cranberry Sparkler, Apple-Pie Cider and Peppermint Hot Chocolate.
