ISO Fun: Things to Do this Weekend
June 16, 2016
Living for the weekend? Don’t be ashamed. Say it loud and proud!
When you live at Southshore, there’s always something fun, educational or interesting happening minutes away. If you’re new to the area, or are thinking of joining our fantastic community, visit our blog each week to find out about events taking place nearby. This weekend, you can celebrate Father’s Day by taking Dad to a concert, an arts festival, or help him learn how to construct a bison from scratch! (Read on to learn more about that one!)
Here’s what’s coming up on the calendar:
Tonight (June 16)
Southlands Concert Series
Old-School Fun: Tunisia!

Tunisia performs tonight!
Tunisia is a high-energy, 10-member group of musicians and a crowd-pleasing Denver favorite.
They cover current hits to classic rock, R&B to disco and Motown to hip-hop. The event starts at 6 pm at the Southlands Mall Town Square, and admission is free!
Aurora Summer Concert Series
The “Dean of Music”
Dean Bushnell and his Orchestra have been entertaining dance crowds since 1951 with Big Band tunes. It’s food (from McAlister’s Deli) and fun, with everybody moving their feet to the beat of smooth swing at this free concert! Be at Bicentennial Park (Alameda and Potomac in Aurora) at 6:30 pm for an evening of fun! More info here.
