Aurora Libraries presents Harry Potter Week online, with a whole host of fun events you can zap yourself into! From Hogwarts Slytherin Eye Make-Up design to Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes to making Spellbook Bags, Butterbeer Cake, and your own Kalimba! Round out the weekend with the Fandom Contest & House Cup Winners and the Harry Potter Kahoot Trivia Contest!

Start the Harry Potter weekend with these fun events! The Hogwarts Looks online session will teach you how to apply Slytherin Eye Make-Up; Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes shows you everything you need to know about Invisible InkHog; and the Grab & Go Together event will teach you how to make Spellbook Bags!

PART TWO: RETIREMENT PLANNING

VIRTUAL HARRY POTTER
Stapleton’s MCA joins in the Harry Potter theme with a virtual Harry Potter Log-In event for all ages in place of the annual Harry Potter Lock-In.
When you register, you’ll receive a wizardry kit with Harry Potter activities and treats along with a Zoom code for access to a reading of the first chapter of the first book by a very special guest from the Wizarding World! Magical add-ons include a time-turning trivia!

This week’s popular online Game Night is back with a Harry Potter theme—for three different sessions geared towards three different age groups! Teens are up first—this session is just for kids in grades 6-12.
Harry Potter Mafia is based on Mafia, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, or Among Us, but this game uses a Harry Potter theme. See if you can spot who the villains are, and use special abilities to root them out. Can you find the traitors in your midst? All you need to participate in this FREE event is access to a computer with a microphone where you can join a WebEx video conference.

LATIN DANCE OUTDOORS
Learn some sizzling Latin dance moves while socially-distancing outside! You’ll also get an awesome workout from this Zumba-inspired class! PRIVATE FAMILY HIKE
For a special family event, take a hike on the prairie with an experienced guide. Your family can choose which area of the property you explore while you learn about prairie ecology, wildlife and history at the Plains Conservation Center. Hikes last approximately 90 minutes and are limited to up to 4 individuals from the same household.
Be prepared to walk up to two miles round-trip and bring layers, sunscreen, hats, water, and cameras. Binoculars will be available to borrow if you don’t have your own to bring. All ages are welcome, but please note that there are unpaved paths, uneven ground, and no shade.
