Things to Do

The weekend’s nearly here, so check out the many things to do to keep busy and entertained all the way into next week! In this update, you’ll find everything from music and movies to fun and games, plus lots of summer camps and classes for every age.

Start making plans!

TONIGHT (July 14):

Things to do: Pan Jumbies

Don’t Miss the Pan Jumbies at the Aurora Summer Concert Series!

Masters of the Caribbean groove, the Pan Jumbies, are led by acclaimed steel pan artist Don Prorak, and jam through a mix of calypso, soca, reggae, ska, and jazz for a world-beat music mosaic. You can snag a sandwich from Atlanta Bread while you practice all your smooth skank moves!

Hazel Miller’s jazzy, bluesy style has made her a favorite of Coloradans for 24 years. Miller has opened for the likes of Herbie Hancock, James Taylor and Michael McDonald and has performed at every major jazz festival in Colorado.  Unwind tonight with the soulful artistry of Hazel Miller.

Southlands Mall Town Square, 6:00 p.m.

Anglers are always welcome at Aurora Reservoir, so bait your hooks and get ready to chase the current state records for smallmouth bass and channel catfish! The records were set at Aurora Reservoir, and if you haven’t tried garlic- flavored shrimp or chicken livers for bait, some say those are your best bets for catching a whopper!

Here’s some information you’ll need about fishing licenses, boat rentals, access passes, and Aurora regulations covering bag limits.
