Your mom is the best, right? So she deserves the best. You have two weeks – almost – to think about a special Mother’s Day for your mom or a special mother in your life. Spend five minutes and plan a day and a gift she’ll remember!
Spoil Her with a Spa Day
Moms work hard and they all deserve to be super-spoiled at least one day a year. The Hand and Stone Spa in Aurora offers body massages (Swedish, hot stone, deep tissue, trigger point, sports and pre-natal), scalp massages, facials (anti-aging, de-toxing, rejuvenating, sensitive skin, etc.), peels, enhancements and foot treatments. Write a Poem
If you don’t have a gazillion bucks to pay for a new Ferrari GTO or send her to an exotic locale (yeah, neither do we!), here is one way to make your mom feel special. Write her a poem. Pack a Picnic/Take a Drive
You could pack your own picnic for mom from make-ahead Sunset Magazine or Mr. Food ideas, or make it easy-breezy on yourself and head over to McAlister’s Deli in the Southlands Shopping Center. The deli has sandwiches, salads, sides and yummy desserts. Now take off on a scenic drive, or head over to Cherry Creek State Park at 4201 S. Parker Rd. which isn’t far and will only cost you $9 for a day pass.
Watch a Dance Party
Is mom a dance fan? Get her tickets to the MOVE LIVE ON TOUR performance in June with Julianne Hough and Derek Hough, the sibling duo from Dancing with the Stars. It’ll set you back about $150, but this pair is mesmerizing to watch – you can’t take your eyes off of them!
Enjoy a Magic Show
It’s not every day you can take in a magic show and the weekend after Mother’s Day, The Illusionists are in town –performing their Live from Broadway spectacular. They’ve shattered box office records around the world with a mix of outrageous and astonishing acts. Think about it. For a mere $60, maybe mom could use a little magic in her life!
