Don’t miss the pancakes and pumpkins this weekend as people of all ages toss the orange gourds for fun and prizes. And that’s not all! Southshore and Southlands celebrate 10 years of building community memories with pancakes and other festivities all day long at the mall.

It’s nothing but net for boys and girls from preschool to sixth grade. Young hoopsters will learn about air balls and double dribbles, fast breaks and alley oops at these basketball camps set for family-friendly schedules. Check times and days to sign up your little basketball player.

KIDS’ NIGHT OUT
Drop the kiddos off for dinner and games, plus a showing of Sony Pictures’ Hotel Transylvania at The Lakehouse on Friday, October 7. The movie begins with monsters who want to get away from it all, and go to Count Dracula’s Hotel Transylvania, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without humans around to bother them! TIE-DYED TEEN FUN
It’s craft night for teens and tweens at the teen center in Southlands. The craft this week is making tie-dyed socks, but kids can shoot pool on the brand new pool table, play Wii games, watch DVDs, play foosball and enjoy good times with good friends. Ages 10 to 15 welcome.

DRACULA FOR ADULTS
A thrilling drama of suspense and Gothic romance set in Europe at the end of the Victorian Age. With its spine-tingling score, the story follows the famed vampire as he lusts for new blood. Stop in to shop for hand-crafted and specialty items at this annual school fundraiser for Overland High School.

PUNKIN CHUNKIN FESTIVAL!
This signature fall event presented by the city of Aurora draws pumpkin chunkers from all over the state! The competitors, kids and adults, will see how far they can make their pumpkins fly using a variety of creative catapults, air cannons and other wild and wily contraptions! Come to compete or come to watch, there will be plenty of food and drink – including an assortment of beers and ales.
Visitors can pick their own pumpkins from the patch and enjoy pony rides, face painting, crafts and other family activities, plus a car show exhibit from Central Colorado Corvettes. A live concert will mark the festivities with chart-topping country groups the Josh Abbott Band and Colorado’s own Buckstein.
