The Aurora History Museum has reopened and there’s no excuse to miss out on the wealth of local treasures inside—all for FREE! In addition to the super-cool trolley on display, there’s a timely special exhibit about the Women’s Suffrage Movement, celebrating women in Colorado! Plus, you’ll find lots of outdoor things to do in and around Aurora this weekend, too!

FUN AT KIDS CORNER
Looking for a fun and FREE activity for your kids, ages 2-6? Sign them up for a morning of story time and games right in the neighborhood! Southlands YMCA offers a safe and fun way for your kids to meet friends and socialize. Group size is limited to 10 kids, so sign up in advance to reserve your spot!

AL FRESCO EVENINGS IN THE GARDEN
Spend a golden evening at the enchanted Denver Botanic Gardens, soaking in not only the magnificent natural environment but also an evening of culture as you stroll through the Gardens by the Monet Pool.

This special collaborative series was created to make the most of this special time of day by bringing in a group of artists to perform in small ensembles.This week’s guest artists are members of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company! An equal portion of the ticket price will support the performing artists.

DANCE PARTY IN THE PARK

PUNK ROCK PICTURE SHOW
The classic 1980s dark comedy, Repo Man, starring a stone-faced Emilio Estevez in the title role of the guy who hunts down and repossesses people’s cars, is a “zany, neo-surreal farce” (New York Times) that will have you remembering why you loved this sci-fi satire so much.

It’s how movies were cool way before Tarantino came along.

AURORA HISTORY MUSEUM IS OPEN
This is a guaranteed way to grab your older kids’ interest—by letting them check out the gadgets and mechanical wonders of the 19th and early 20th centuries. These amazing technological artifacts show how things were done in Aurora a hundred years ago! 

Also on display is the special exhibit, The Battle for the Ballot: Women’s Suffrage in Colorado, celebrating women’s history in Colorado. Reservations are required so that no more than 10 people are in the museum at one time, and face masks are mandatory.

KIDS NIGHT OUT IS BACK!
It’s been a long six months of families spending all their time together. Take a much-needed break and treat the kids to their own night out! The Southshore YMCA is hosting their popular Kids Night Out event, with a night of crafts and games, followed by a movie. They won’t be serving food, so pack a snack and drink for your kids—and be sure to register in advance!

TWO WAYS TO SEE HYPE MAN
Hype Man is a riveting and relevant modern drama that explores race, fame, and friendship. An interracial hip-hop trio of musicians start to find success making music together, but they clash over how to use their newfound platform in the wake of a police shooting.

A live version of the play will be performed by the Black Actors Guild, or you may also purchase a ticket to watch the online version of the performance. Both options will include a talkback after the show, when the cast will take questions from both audiences.
